Striated Frogfish (Antennarius striatus) spawning at Blue Heron Bridge on Sept 14, 2013. This male & female pair had been spotted together since May. On the dive this day the female was very bloated and smaller male was seen nudging her. At the end of high tide, the nudging seemed more pronounced and he then lifted her up. She spun like crazy and expelled the egg mass while the male released gametes. She then dodged away. Just very fortunate to have witnessed this!
